Mod Podge Cookie Sheet

I got inspired by the many cookie tin turned magnet boards for make-up, that I decided to make one for my craft room. I used an old cookie tin and primed it white. I used a sheet of scrap book paper. I used paper mod podge to have the paper stick to the cookie tin. Since the scrapbook paper was too short and I only bought one piece, I used a small sheet of blue to cover the bottom. I added my name so it wouldn't be so plain. I glued magnets to the back of my glitter and now I have a place to store them.

Lighted Christmas block

Deco Bloc and Krylon Frosted Glass Spray

2 coats of frosted glass spray.

Cut the image using my Silhouette Cameo.

Added some double sided tape to the top for the bow.

Frosted Glass Block with bow

On Black Friday, I bought some Deco Blocks from the Home Depot to decorate for Christmas. You can also get them at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I had some old white lights that we were getting rid of so I used them inside the block. In my first attempt of decorating the block, I used some Christmas stickers. The stickers didn't show up well because the lights were so bright. On my second attempt, I used Krylon frosted spray paint on the outside of the block. I gave the block two coats. I used my Silhouette cutter and ultra gold vinyl from Expressions vinyl. For the image, I found it at the Silhouette Online store. I added a bow at the top to dress it up.

Holiday Chargers

Today, I decided to make my holiday chargers look at little fancier. I used two cartridges on my Cricut Expression 2 machine.  To cut the tree I used Teresa Collins Seasonal Christmas cartridge  and Base Camp for the font of our last name. I wanted to try something that would hold up on dishes so I went with vinyl. I bought the vinyl from Expressions vinyl. They have a variety of colors and types of vinyls. In addition to that, they have tutorials for using vinyl on your Cricut expression or Silhouette. It was simple and easy to follow. I used the indoor Gold chrome vinyl. It looked really great against the red plate. I added some gold stickers on the top and bottom of some of the plates.
